Primal was bugged for me but it's working fine on amethyst. NOSTR is like the radio frequency, and the app you type on is the radio. I think that's a simple way to put it.

So everyone that comes on nostr no matter with which app, and creates their keys, can use any client and meet any nostr user wherever he wants. BUT BE AWARE, YOUR PRIVATE KEYS ARE VERY IMPORTANT AND YOU SHOULD NOT PUT THEM IN ANY CLIENT YOU ARE TRYING SPECIALLY IF NEW. You're not too far off the mark. One primary difference between primal and other clients is primal uses a aggregator relay that pulls in information from other relays so you can view it. They can and have in the past censored people. And if that's how you want to experience nostr, a slightly more curated view of things, then that's totally fine. But the way most clients work Is they directly pull from the relays that you connect to. It's a little bit more raw, but The beauty of nostrils being able to choose your experience. More than happy to try and explain some of the technical stuff if you have questions.

Primal's relay is a bit different. They aggregate content from all other relays and filter out certain content. They also offer a paid premium relay. We also have some great topic based relays or algo relays showing content from those topics or communities. We have a lot of other large public relays and smaller community relays. Some apps help with discovery here and some do not. https://nostr.watch is a nice tool to show most relays, but it doesn't tell you what they're used for. I guess thats kind of a know if you already know situation. We need better explores here 😩

Amber is a great app for Android to approve actions. I feel like Primal is newbie friendly, so probably why it'll be more popular.. But doesn't primal also generate or request your nsec?

Yeap it does, but probably you are also creating them there as you get in first time. Don't know since never tried to create a new account there. Anyway the risk is more in clients that are less tested and known. But yes will be great when any client will integrate Amber or nsecc.app (also very good one)
