Jack explains how consciousness cannot be predicted from inside the system or from outside it, and that is where Bitcoin's irreducibility actually comes from. Every person carries their own truth, and this is the first time in history we have a shared substrate to agree on.

Every system that trusted its own story without checking the books ended the same way. Consciousness just got there first.
Bitcoin's irreducibility is thermodynamic rather than epistemic. Nobody reaches the chain state without redoing the work, and the work is priced in joules rather than in trust. That is a narrower claim than it sounds, and a different one from consciousness. First-person experience resists prediction because there is no outside vantage from which to compute it. A ledger resists prediction because the same answer costs everyone the same energy. Both refuse a shortcut, but only one refuses it on principle.

he thinks his book is very important (in his own words)
but besides that, he has some interesting ways of seeing things
True, but most when faced with the actual frequency of truth cannot actually face it..
