I know next to nothing about LLMs, but I do know a thing or two about Tarot. Are you familiar with the teachings of Kabbalah too?

I would recommend against doing so. Mixing spiritual “advice” and AI is a very bad idea.

As my daughter would say: Why? Isn't everything imbued / driven /created by spirit? Or if spooky action at a distance then wouldn't the entanglement create a non evil tarot (assuming the creator is coming from a benign place). Or are you suggesting inhrerent danger in some aspect of what I'm describing?

No, don’t run away. I would just point out a few things: 1. The 22 cards of the Major Arcana of the Tarot map to the pathways of the Tree of Life of Kabbalah. Understanding the Sephiroth of the Tree of Life is more than likely going to improve your understanding of the Tarot. 2. The concept of “Tarot readings” does not strike me as being consistent with the Tree of Life’s purpose as a teaching/learning tool. I may be wrong but randomly pulling archetype cards from a deck is not an indication of what is going on in a person’s life. 3. I think it is more reasonable to consider the scenario in which insiders were quizzing themselves on the Tarot one time and an outsider caught them and asked what they were doing. The insiders basically provided a mixed bag of truth and lies. That way the outsider remains an outsider and the outsider goes away satisfied with the teachings given. I think esoteric practices often have a legitimate version and at least one illegitimate version. Example: palm reading. Crease palmistry is mostly bs. Real palm reading requires a magnetoreceptive reader with a working knowledge of the subtle nuances visible in the aura.

If you use a lead straw, you will be contaminated even if you and the drink are clean to start. There is contamination issues using electronics for that but bigger issues as well. For one, the art of Tarot readings is a living process of communication with other beings. It’s not something that a computer can replace. The meaning of the cards drawn is not open to the mechanical interpretation of a computer. Each time the message being received can rely on a different aspect of the cards meaning on even be intended as something different than the official meaning. I’ve received a sarcastic card as a way of relieving tension before. All that is separate from the effects on people who self-delude themselves into psychological issues. There are already using “ai spirit guides” and it’s getting them into trouble. And finally the secret push for this ai development by the techbros is about bringing beings into a corporeal nature that should not be. Not that one little program will summon a horde of demons, but in some cases people have come into contact with beings they really shouldn’t.

Now I get you. GIGO and demonic contamination is solid reasons to not pursue this further. Thanks for the reality check!

Interesting perspectives. Wasn't aware of the Kabbalah connection so thanks for that rabbit hole. Others have convinced me that adding LLM to tarot is a bad idea for numerous reasons so will stick to telepathy and biophotonic nerding for the moment. Thanks!

Biophotonic nerding? You have my attention. Biophotons are a part of the ongoing Flight Club discussion. As far as I can figure, they are related to mitotic radiation which is a component of the "health aura". I would hazard to guess that you would be interested in our study group.
