There are more bitcoiners, yes. And we should bring them together. But with intention.
To all the organizers out there - I would urge you to lean hard into creating spaces where people laugh and make memories together and less into lining up chairs for keynote speeches.

Is there a white glove epic Bitcoin meetup event service? Like, I tell them I am going to host a local meetup for Bitcoin people in my area and they bring the stage, the panelists, and all the people in the audience, etc?

I've seen so much of this stuff that I just don't care what people have to say about bitcoin now. There's not much new under the sun. It's better to be out in the sun.
The issue is not the lack of speakers but the lack of organizers' understanding of targeting.
If you like everyone else is doing an event for bitcoiners, 300eur and more for entry, then you neglect the millions of potential visitors that are complete noobs and would like to learn but probably for 30eur or less in entry fee.
Then, you don't need to invite top notch developers or business owners, but rather bitcoin savvy teachers.
Just an example.
Another potential audience is legacy finance experts. Again, different audience, different speakers.

Podcasts.
Bitcoin will win when we don’t have more big and general Bitcoin conferences. They will lose their appeal as Comdex eventually did (1979-2003). Our job is to keep Alive the communities we cherish.

Conferences are a shitcoin. If you’re not being paid to be there, you are the yield. Stack sats instead.
When I think back to Nashville 2023, the most meaningful parts to me occurred outside the conference center.

excellent ideas. education is taken more seriously when you pay for it, even if it's just a small price.
I still have yet to go to one. Every time I thought about it since 2020, I took that same money I would have spent there and stacked sats instead.

Agree, 100%. Bitcoin is just a tool. A lot of these conventions are just repeating cycles.
Influencer: "come see me talk about bitcoin"
Avg Joe: "You just had a speech 2 weeks ago"
