One day, our clocks will all automatically set back less than a minute each day so we can again wake harmoniously with the sun through fall and winter, then automatically set forward after the winter solstice so we rise with the earlier sunrise. Instead of a single one hour chunked shift. Using clocks to tell us the “time of day” is outdated and was only necessary for train schedules to synch across land where there was no method of communication.

I like this software you describe. I only use an alarm when I have to catch an early flight. I sometimes schedule a meeting with someone in another state and our computers fix the times for us. I don’t really ever notice the daylight savings time switch. I just enjoy the sun going up and down each day and awaken with it and sleep when I’m tired. Here’s to opting out of sucky stuff. 🥂
