Cashu doesn't run on a single server. There is not one big mint that everyone uses. That would be insane.
There are dozens of mints running on dozens of servers already. The point is that *you* can run it too. Either for your Bitcoin infrastructure or for your community.

La calle está llena de cashus
What do I need to run a mint? Both hardware and software ..
And for those that don't know how, here I wrote a guide:

Bitcoin adoption using Ecash
A use case scenario for Ecash over Bitcoin LN, using Cashu mints. How we can bring more Bitcoin adoption to people that can't afford to start with ...
Both
We build a little computer called a Sovran Pro and it includes all the hardware and software you need to get started.
Super cool 😎

Thank you.
I run LNbits + Cashu extension on a VPS connected to a Lightning Node
Are node package providers looking to add Cashu to their app stores?? Eg Umbrel, MyNode?
Or for you business as a gift card service.

You can run a Cashu mint using LNBits on Umbrel
👀
What about this wording:
Fedimint = Federated or Multi-Sig eCash
Cashu = Multi-Mint eCash
?
yes u can - but LNbits will need backend LND or its substitute
Only interact with mints you trust. Make these mints viable
Fedimint is also meant to be multi-mint. They just opted to have multisig from the start. Cashu might have multi-sig later, too. There is no clear cut differentiation.
This is pretty cool 👌
Great guide! 🫶
how do you connect to it if you're on tor?
You can get the Tor address of your mint from LNbits. Some wallets like Minibits allow for Tor connection.
Awesome, thanks a ton!
