On Wednesday, I walked onto the Nakamoto Stage with @jack and showed never-before-seen clips from The Six Billion Dollar Man to a room full of Bitcoiners. The film no American distributor would touch — because Julian Assange is still too hot for legacy media to handle. This is the start of a new era of film distribution. No intermediary. No permission. Just the work and the people it was made for. Join the party at

Wait what? I can join the watch party for 0.01 BTC? I know things are getting more expensive but...
Right? I did the math a bunch of times because I was sure I was wrong. So.. take it straight to the bitcoin community and charge them $780 to watch..?
1M sats is a lot for ordinary plebs to become a founding member. Why not just spread the movie exclusively on nostr?

So many of you complaining are missing the point entirely. Sad.
Ideally @Eugene Jarecki sets up his post with lightning split to all coauthors of that documentary, so when you zap him it will automatically get sent to all of them with appropriate %. At that point imo getting it from pirate bay AND zapping the authors with some reasonable amount is fair enough. We don't need the middlemen anyway...
honestly we support sharing it, the goal here is to find a group of people happy to support the wide distribution of the film globally and get credited accordingly most people will watch it for much cheaper or free, because of these early supporters

He's one of the Bitcoin Actors. @X.com formerly Stealing @Twitter formerly stole @@napster
Indeed a lot of money for many plebs. But maybe that’s just the Price for Premiere and later it will be lower, like 50k Sats.

Whatever happened to @Stella Assange, was she just on Nostr long enough to ask for money and help, then exited never to be seen again?
@Eugene Jarecki , in this space we also use to do donation campaigns like this. Consider it, it's pretty cool, well integrated with this ecosystem, it has direct bitcoin payment options without intermediators leeching, log in with nostr, it's slightly gamified, but not too much, etc.
