My Twitter feed has turned into mostly ETF & Saylor talk. Is this what excites most bitcoiners these days? Am I missing something here?

I’ve noticed the same. The TAM for CT is larger with price, etf, saylor, macro talk because it can appeal to nocoiners. It also takes no little work to talk about price and regurgitate saylor talking points. It’s quite sad that Bitcoin seems to be following that crowds lead and leaving the cypherpunks behind. Even Adam Beck posts regularly about MSTR and does ETF spaces.
That's one reason (of many) I went Nostr only. I'm more interested in building the future. I'm so fucking sick of hearing about the ETFs and how this or that has X as much as Michael Saylor in X time. I don't give a fuck. Institutional interest is only surprising if you're not confident in the value of #Bitcoin and its incentives. It was interesting for a week. Time to move on.

We need a matured lending product using bitcoin AND other assets as collateral. Current products are short-term and “high” interest rate…meaning they introduce too much liquidation risk given bitcoin’s volaitlity. We need wholecoiners going out into the world and buying companies / assets and running their business through a bitcoin frame. With the current financing mechanisms, this is too risky (even though on a 5-year time frame it isn’t).
It’s painful. My Twitter time is like 1 minute a week to confirm what I already knew.
In the UK most workplaces are required to pay into a pension plan for employees so everyone has work place pensions that you cant touch until retirement. More savvy people transfer those funds into SIPPs so they can at least control what that money is invested in like MSTR etc.

It’s a UK pension pot that is self invested. MSTR is the only way you can use a tax efficient vehicle to invest in Bitcoin. ETF exposure is banned. Direct exposure to Bitcoin is also made very difficult - it’s almost as if they don’t want you to own it - it’s for your own protection. 😉
That’s why I left. It all became “the dollar price”. Even people that “was in it for the tech” turned retarded. I don’t miss it for the world. But then again, I had basically no relationships there, so nothing to miss really.
I think some see MSTR, ETF flows, and the US debt going parabolic and believe hyperbitcoinization started. It hasn't, it's a liquidity attack to catch the greedy. They still price in $$. We're not winning until companies start mass pricing products in sats and an ETF or big company refuses a 6102 and moves off shore

I would still ditch twitter. The signal is ultra unreliable with the practises that are taking place.
