I think I see a path to making the smoothest live streaming experience for the lay Nostr user. Primal user Shosho login with bunker from Primal CloudFlare stream server preset and funded OBS connected and controlled by websocket Big "Go Live" button User is live on Primal and everywhere else, with anything they set up on their OBS Never saw an nsec Never saw a streamkey No copy paste Getting pretty close to "one click to live" experience for pro Nostr streaming. I'm coming to get you Twitch

not afraid, but if you want to make a product geared towards a general audience you need to put a lot of effort on making the UX seamless. product thinking vs developer mindset. devs & tech enthusiasts tolerate friction, users don't.
Is there a reason that you can't go live on the primal app itself? Genuinely interested how it works with the streaming on here, I tried using zapstream both on my phone and on a laptop after downloading some streaming program for the computer that zapstream needs to work. Still couldn't get it to work. Very confusing First time I've heard of shosho, have no idea what an OBS is.
Running Shosho I have had support tickets where users literally cannot copy and paste text. Like I get the copy and paste server credentials wrong and then I log a support ticket saying that the app doesn't work. IMO lay users need as close as we can get to "one big magic button".
You should try @Shosho – Live Stream on Nostr Install app Accept permissions Press "go live" That's it If you get stuck please ask for help. It is still early days but we're entirely focussed on streaming and committed to making it as easy as possible.
Try my new streaming server! Forked from Zap Stream to use CloudFlare Live Stream backend with free recordings and VOD playback.

I have just launched a new Nostr Live Streaming Server with recordings and VOD playback of your live streams, so that people can view you live, or come back and watch your replay whenever they like. I'm looking for testers and am interested in your feedback. The server uses Cloud Flare live stream as the backend and serves your recordings from there, so should be (I hope!) highly available and responsive. It also solves the issue we had for Shosho users on iPhone where the server would disconnect mid-stream. Would you like to try it? If you are on Shosho and want to test it IRL, click Add Server > Nostr Streaming Server > and then enter: "https://api.shosho.live/api/v1" and the app will connect. For other systems, the API is based-on and interchangeable-with ZS, so swap "api-core.zap.stream" with "api.shosho.live" and it should "just work". For those technical folks who can use the above, this is all available for you now. For everyone else I look forward to making this more accessible in the new year! As always thanks for your help and advice everyone @npub1v0lx...qj49 @npub1c7k2...qh4c @TheGrinder @Turiz @Sebastix @SondreB @npub1826v...7t95 @npub1j42r...u4jf et al Thank you and looking forward to your feedback!
