Yesterday I received a call from someone the development department of Dutch House of Representatives. They work a lot with Drupal and they are looking for technical people to work on several Drupal projects. At some point he asked if I work alone or have employees. I'm a soloist, I answered. His reaction was quite a surprise with a honest advice "keep it that way, it's the best way to do the work you love". He thanked me for the honest and open conversation. I ended the conversation with the insight that he hadn't asked if I would be interested to work for the Dutch government. I shared that I'm very allergic for bureaucracy and slow processes. And that I don't know how the things go there (but I have some assumptions...). I just wanted to be sure to not give false expectations. I have my own business and responsibilities to look after.

Crazy week for @Nyves.nl, more than 8000 visitors landed on the website in the last 4 days after searching for "Hyves". Hunderds of people are subscribed to the mailing now, so I guess I have to send them a mail soon. Doing marketing, which is something I don't every day.
