Zaps require someone to know that value is being created. But that isn't always the case. The value of things like conversation and friendship aren't objectively quantifiable like zaps are. That's why giving Bitcoin to people so strongly feels like it undermines the authenticity of the discussion to me.
Seems pretty funny to me. Maybe you just need to find better things to invest your effort into.
