Fascinating study by @Troy Cross “Part of what shapes identity and behavior in America--surprise surprise--is political orientation. Our political divide seems not only to be deepening, but also becoming the most important fact about identity, the one that trumps all others. So we polled it 5 different ways: What we found was definitely our most shocking result. Like most everyone on this app, our critics in the media, academics who write about bitcoin, and almost all politicians, we thought #bitcoin ownership would skew towards the political right, and towards libertarianism. Wrong!” image

hey Walker, appreciated your newyear vid t-y both!
"Polling shows that our outdated 'more liberal => more conservative' axis delivers meaningless results no matter what question we ask!"
.. very liberal ( progressives ) and very conservatives ( libertarians ) seems to have found a common cause - #bitcoin ... bridge on the other side of centrist reality :-)
Hopefully Bitcoin can be the beacon the reorientes us towards the consensus truth. We do have mostly shared values in this country and perhaps the time chain in the future will enshrine those truths for posterity and remind us we are all on the same insanely wild journey. The time chain could become our collective conscious, or unconscious, mind.

Libertarian is not on the axis shown. Conservative does not equal libertarian. The left right binary spectrum shown is limiting and inaccurate.
There is no way. I call BS on the way this was put together. You can’t be very liberal and pro-coin, they offer opposite solutions.

is your college accepting foreign students?
Hmm, wonder if centrism is playing a bigger role in American Politics AND Bitcoin Ownership? I come here with a book I can't even remember reading so many years ago 😅 image
Someone who responds to a survey AND confirms he owns Bitcoin is a moron. There is zero chance that 14% of Americans own Bitcoin. The political orientation questions use the conventional left-right dichotomy that is completely inadequate to identify libertarians.
#bitcoin is not left or right ... it is forward ... sounds like a stump speak but it is ..
Are you sure about that? If you sit down and get OVER the politics of the day, you will find the FAR Left and FAR Right agree on more than what you think. Take a controversial issue like guns. BOTH want peace. They don't want people being shot. One believes taking guns stops gun violence, while another believes having guns prevents gun violence. Both are right, both are wrong. BOTH WANT THE SAME THING. You can do this for just about EVERY issue the Elites shove down our thoats. Abortion? Another absolutely divisive issue? Both one LIFE - one for the mom, one for the baby. If you have had to make that choice, you are 'sensitized' one way or the other - it's VERY emotional and should not be in politics. But both sides use the emotion against each other to create division. EVEN after you read this, on BOTH of these issues if you were strongly one side or the other you STILL won't give in and understand. That's how deep the Elites seat the emotions of hate to THEIR advantage (they get super rich from the division).
