I woke up still shocked and saddened by the news of Charlie Kirk. There have been so many heartbreaking things happening just this past month. Children being shot and killed, Iryna Zarutska on a train losing her life, and it feels like our world is becoming numb to the violence that surrounds us.
Then this morning, I went online and saw so much hate from people celebrating Charlie’s death. It is disgusting, it is disturbing, and it shows the true colors of people’s souls. When I think of the world my children will grow up in, this is not it.
How can someone wake up every day carrying that much anger? I can understand having your beliefs and even disagreeing strongly with others about theirs. But just as one person has the right to believe what they want, so does the person they disagree with. That is the beautiful thing about living in the United States.
The freedom to believe differently without fear. The freedom to speak your mind and still respect another human being even when you don’t see eye to eye. That is supposed to be the foundation of who we are as a country. But somewhere along the way, people have forgotten that. We are so quick to hate, so quick to tear down, that we forget there is a real person on the other side. A real family that now has to grieve.
At the end of the day, we may not agree with one another, but celebrating death is not the answer. If you find joy in another person’s death, it is not their soul that needs fixing, it is yours. We need more love, more compassion, and more humanity. And if we cannot start showing that, then we are handing our children a world that is colder, darker, and more divided than ever before.

It's the people that can't defend themselves celebrating violence too...
Celebrating defensive violence, yes
Obviously those of us who feel potentially defenseless are glad to see someone fighting back and defending our rights
It's self deprecating when you speak.
No, not usually or in this case
Especially in this case.
Incorrect
It's self deprecating, that you feel the need to defend yourselves violently, against non violent threats.
We don't, retard
"us who feel potentially defenceless" is not self deprecating? Why can't you defend yourself?
It's very sad, but it's the sad world we live in. 🥺
Because you Nazis don't recognize the right to self defense you fucking retard
Give me a gun or at least stop supporting the people who threaten to kill or imprison me for having one instead of blaming your victims for your crimes against humanity you fucking time wasting piece of shit
I hope you don't think anyone knows what you're talking about.
You don't know about Nazis?
You don't know about gun control, cops, military forces, etc.?
Could the hatred be part of some kind of psychosis?
I believe that years of programming—from our education to social media and broader culture—have changed how people act. Because most people spend more time online than they do actually living in the real world, they are becoming less human. Moreover, I think the left aims to create hopelessness in the country and fill the hearts of young people with hate. This pushes them toward an alternative like a socialist revolution, where the state is worshiped. I think that when there is actual discourse, like the kind Charlie engaged in, it breaks some of the programming as people realize a lot of the extreme ideas being pushed by liberal schools.
