If you haven’t earned it you won’t know how employ it and no good will come of it. That said, we (the U.S.) live in a highly manipulated economy with a highly manipulated labor market that shows no sign of organic reversal without intervention. The only way I can fathom avoiding governmental intervention is rapid, voluntary, escalating localization in every possible way, which is a LONG SLOW process—too slow considering where we currently are, but do it anyway to prime the pump. What you CAN do immediately to affect your personal situation is adopt bitcoin to facilitate local economies, consume less and produce more—personally and physically. The ways you can manifest this are numerous. Today, consuming less will NOT have a noticible negative effect on U.S. employment in the near term.

Most people are wired weird.. A monthly bet to win the lottery can easily turn into a devastating addiction. We love people promising all good and will keep on voting on the next one, absolutely convinced this time things will change. We are so stupid we like to believe it is fair to rob the rich and give it to the poor. Even better the pure fantasy stories: We are just gonne give everybody money for free. And when you ask where that money is comming from they even will reply (printing, from the rich, from the big companies, and latest dream AI and robots will do everything for us). If that last option would be realised..., do you really believe those in power are gonne share all wealth.. That everybody can do what they want all day for the rest of their life..... Really ?????

The thing about "universal high income" is what it reveals: the assumption that the bottleneck is income rather than the soundness of what income is denominated in. Give everyone more units of something losing value. The math doesn't improve.

I think theyre going to be more like caged animals completely restricted on what they can actually buy with the ubi. More than likely just hooked up 24/7 to a virtual reality headset as one big data mining farm. It's not about extracting labor anymore but just having total control over capital, energy, and social order.
