I am so sick of woke. Currently my laptop OS is #Void. It's been years since I left #Debian and #systemd. Now they have infiltrated the #kernal with #Rust Looks like my next stop is going to be #BSD These are unrecoverable, brain washed people. The so called West is infiltrated with generations of #woke ideology. There is no hope. I feel sorry for people who put their hope in to #Trump. Take your #Bitcoin and exit. That is my way anyway.

Many in Turkey are forced to think about #Bitcoin due to that insane inflation. It is not the right way, but nevertheless a way :0(.. Going to follow you please post more about your sailing way of living 🙏

Thanks for your take. But for me this is far away from UNIX-philosophy. I rather try to do superposition where it can work. Take a problem, finde the cause and insert a fitting solution. With systemd, I do not really understand the whole problem. I would really love a visualisation, on what replaces the whole systemd in void linux for example. something like: arch uses systemd void uses runit, package... for deamons, package ... for this part of systemd and so on To understand what parts could be more UNIX-like than the implementation of systemd.

I will try. Much of this lifestyle has become so normal to me that I usually don't think of it as special/worth posting about. I been living on board for about ten years. Thanks to Bitcoin, and some luck I have now a much better boat. Much better then what I started out with. We, my better half and I, are living on a 2003 Privilege 465 catamaran. But we started off with a home build 1978 Norman Cross 35 trimaran back 10 years ago. On the Privilege we are very privileged ;) We have everything we need such as water maker, diesel heating, dishwasher, small washing machine, generator, an older but fabulous dinghy etc. Is there any particular reason why you want to know this stuff. I mean if you have questions, feel free to ask.

Wow only a bit jealous 😍 I'm new to sailing so joined several clubs and the first trips are planned. I'm busy reading stuff to prepare for a sailing licence. If 2025 works out for Bitcoin as I expect, I will be able to buy something and set sail end of this year..

Wow that sounds exciting. That's how it's starts off. I have to warn you, this is not exactly what one would call an easy life. Posts and videos online usually show you the fun side of a sailor, seldom will you see the full picture.

Yes it is not a new 'dream' for me. It started as a dream of being selfsustaining and free. But soon I realized it is: Expensive Lots of rules, and obligations (like maintenance, border issues, harbor fees, shopping troubles, stuff breaking down, having to know everything, etc). Nevertheless it is a dream I want to give a shot. I know there will be things that are hard. But not giving it a try is not an option right now.

I still have way more questions than answers :0) That is why I joined some sailing clubs and will join courses, sailing trips etc. It is hard to get those things clear via online forums. Nevertheless thanks a lot for the offer, who knows I have some questions at some point that I can't get landed easy and could give a try ! A lot of online stuff is just what you mention, only the nice stuff, beautiful people, boats, weather etc. One of the reason I'm interested in other channels :0)
