Most people will do anything to comply, to not stick out, to do what everyone else does—no matter how ridiculous. The solution is deceivingly simple: don't try to change other people. Focus on yourself and how you spend your time. Opt out. Don't feed the beast. Concentrate your time, energy, and attention on the alternatives represented by #bitcoin and #nostr. Become as resilient as you can. Become un-ruggable. Ignore the noise.
