What makes simplex chat good?
Any review that would show why that is any better than other? I have it on my phone and it does look pro privacy but is it really better/stronger?

I like that there's no need for a centralised server & that you can self host at least 1 half of your DMs.
I like that they ask for no personally identifiable information from you. Migration between devices is by a data dump into an encrypted file.
I've been using it for 2 years & I have my family on it. They know I won't always be connected to the mobile network.
Voice calls have a delay sometimes but the quality is fine.
I've not seen a better alternative yet.
I'm very close to nuking telegram & signal.
Privacy.
Yes.
But do we know / or has it being audited that servers relaying messages can’t read?
Most people will use default servers that’s why I’m asking
What makes you believe it’s more private than other alternatives?
Have you tried Keet? It’s P2P, no server, no middle man literally impossible for anybody to spy or listen.
I don't know for sure, no.
I know they can't leak info they don't have though.
The greater risk is that the other device is running stock android or iOS and is scraping the screen.
Yeah I use keet to move text & files between devices.
Basically like sync thing
It's pretty crappy for instant messaging & chat groups though.
i used keet a lot... though I think for instant messenger is still not the best
It's great for private voice & video calls but I'd use simplex to co-ordinate the calls.
Nostr is really good for a persistent identity.
If someone is verified by myself on Nostr I can then connect via a 1 time Simplex link. If the link later breaks, it's easy enough to re-establish later.
I does not require KYC data to open an account(eg phone number), like other services. Double hop onion routing… it works for me.
Read about the protocol on the website the information is already there to prove to you why it's better then most it's not hidden.
I'm trying to check if someone has actually validated it... whatever its said on the webside in general and conceptually I can see the value but wondering if someone has a more educated review than my overly simplificated understanding
I find it excellent for instant messaging and groups? What's the issues?
