That is what’s known as a “stink bug.” Just went through the worst outside to inside invasion I’ve ever had. They can flatten themselves and get through the smallest crack and yes, they are evasive. If they see coming at them they scurry away from you. You aren’t supposed to swat them, the smell draws others, I just Hoover them up and plug nozzle with paper towel.
