Congrats to the Damus team. The way Apple has damaged your project, and Nostr by extension, is something we shouldn’t forget. Apple has become a massive drag on software publishers. Not only do they extort an exorbitant tax on app revenues, but they dictate which features can exist. Google has nearly the same amount of power, but they are not wielding it as aggressively (yet). Well said. Miljan, when Freerse first launched the Zap function, I spent more than two months communicating with the iOS reviewer to get the Zap function approved. I read through all the rules of iOS App and finally found that they violated the rules they set. Nostr can do a lot more in terms of decentralization. NWC is a great innovation.
Apple & Google have a monopoly. There's no a whole lot we can do at this moment except keep stacking Bitcoin so we bring down the Fiat monetary system and they lose power.
Google seems catching up

🚨 PSA 🚨 We are no longer on the Google Play Store. We decided remove our app rather than comply with their overly zealous bullshit KYC requirements that dox dev data, including address. 👀 But Nostriches don't care because we got @npub10r8x...t2p8

“There's not a whole lot we can do” DUDE DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT GETTING APKS FROM SOURCE EVEN IS? HOLY SHIT
Abandoning iOS users is not the answer. Nostr apps need to be on all platforms and form factors. Apple’s policies end up affecting their own users. Over time they will be forced to change if the experience on iOS becomes inferior.

Wait so how were zaps working on the primal app if they were disabled on Damus?
