Unpopular opinion (even among fellow Bitcoiners): The US dollar ecosystem is the world’s most powerful, pervasive, and detrimental network. It is cancer. It constantly steals from—and suffocates—humanity… all around the world. The sooner it is recognized and completely excised (with wide surgical margins), the sooner the world can begin healing from its deleterious effects. Not “Bitcoin and the US Dollar!” #Bitcoin. Only.

I think they are going to try and prop up the system with Tether. Basically run the playbook that @Matthew Kratter explains here and everything plays out like he says except the US dollar strengthens because the US will sell their debt directly to 8 billion people. They will not need recycled dollars from China ect. Bessent is going to bring in Bretton Woods 2.0. What do you think?
Yes. Using Tether and private bank CBDCs. They will serve as effective units of monetary surveillance.
We hate the dollar. People like Michael are just pretending.. he knows.

As a doctor how much poison would you recommend to your patient's? Ironically for me, the first step to being spiritually, physically, and financially healthy was to accept that I was taking poison, and then stop.
100% I find it interesting this so called debate of moving over slow vs fast… slow being in quotes “less painful” … I think the faster the better, if we go “slow” that just gives the current power structure more time to adapt, manipulate, and figure out ways to maintain control. I think we should be pushing to move as fast as possible…. Those who miss the alpha will still benefit since their paychecks in bitcoin terms will still be accretive year over year, everyone benefits from this transformation.
As a previous gold bug I am constantly amazed by their ability to kick the can down the road...would love for Bitcoin to emerge as the singular money sooner rather than later...but suspect we will have to go through the pain 😞
sadly I don't see the dollar going away anytime soon. I think we're headed towards a long dollar/Bitcoin ecosystem first
When the dollar was back by gold, hard money, the dollar was not a big problem. The lack of hardness in the dollar is the real problem. If a Bitcoin national reserve is created, the dollar can again become hard and dam the source of endless wars and theft by inflation.

Bitcoin cannot make the dollar what it is not. Even if it could, there is no benefit in doing so. The world will inevitably migrate to the harder money. But there is an advantage to be gained by the US trading its gold for BTC. That would be a step in the migration.

Because the dollar is a debit-based money, inflation is inevitable, Tether or no Tether. Once people grasp this, they will migrate to Bitcoin. Unfortunately, this realization may not hit until Bitcoin hits $500k - $1m.
100% From next year I have made the decision to accept bitcoin only. No “fiat and convert” compromise. “The intolerant minority wins”!

while that sounds good I don't think we achieve Bitcoinization without repealing legal tender laws
