I’ll never forget the time he blocked me on X for saying that his project was trash because it used email for registration, which (surprise!) was hijacked by spammers.

Being fascinated by decentralized social networks in general, I'm always curious about how they fail.... But in this case it seems pretty obvious. "Let's add a social network to help monetize this other thing" never works.

I started on there and then found nostr. The Farcaster feed is just shite, it goes: GM, bot slop, shitcoins, pictures of the sun and trees and about 5% decent interaction. The wallet is tidy, if that floats ya boat.

Hah. Not surprised. Nostr is truly different.

I'm shocked that shitcoin traders have nothing interesting to say to each other. Just shocked.

It’s pretty much the same story every time. Fancy sounding bros raise a ton of money to reimagine social, spend it all to build the fancy tech platform, cry when no users show up, post on medium about hard the grind was, somehow get a ton of praise, become a VC.
