How are people maxing local AI models? I'm a tech normie who has set up llama3.2:8b over TailScale using Open WebUI and tbh, it's slow and pretty shit? Can anyone advise a better setup and/or does my model need training, md files etc. Help. #asknostr #nostrplebs #plebchain #ai

Wife was winging about a festival not having an easy to navigate schedule of events, times, locations etc. The council attempted some lame online thing. 5 mins using Brave Leo knocked out a one shot web app with filters, easy to read, navigate and plan. Boom.

You can just do it. I've somehow managed to connect my Raspberry Pi to run llama3, Gitea and Open WebUI all over TailScale, so I can have my own little private LLM fed by an isolated Obsidian vault from anywhere. It needs a lot of tweaking and improvement (over time), but yes, it's a win for me.

I am working off grid during the day, so no internet, no contact with people, just me and a rack of podcasts. I only get evenings (when I'm knackered) to speak to family and go online..... And I'm bloody loving it, the time it gives me to think things through, the 10hrs of pure isolation is bliss, the time alone is a gift.
