Back when I was a pescetarian... and egg, this or small dried fish made for a tasty meal. Looks like you're on point with the spice as well.

The kiddo thought I was crazy for the sardines. Hubs said "I don't judge" as he dumped cheese curds onto his stir fried noodles. Lol.
My grandfather introduced me to sardines as a kid. I've since learned to also love kippered herring and the like. I had some herring in a mango sauce recently that was just delicious.
Gotta give @Kajoozie Maflingo credit for the veg chopping.
