At the end of the day, I can decide not to update Core or just run Knots. But that doesn’t fix the core issue: I no longer trust the people steering the ship. So here’s the question: do Core devs honestly believe the average Bitcoiner still trusts them enough to guard their life savings and more importantly, their freedom? I don’t think so. But here’s the most alarming part: I have a feeling they don’t give a single fuck. One of them even said, “I’m a lawyer but not your lawyer.” What the fuck does that mean? They probably think since average Bitcoin users aren’t funding them, they don’t matter. As if we, the hodlers and node runners, aren’t relevant.

I see your point now more clear and valid after educating myself on consensus rules and mempool policy rules. And I found out that I don't know enough about the #uasf times, therefore I need to to more research about block size wars back then. Thank you @OceanSlim for pointin my awareness to my blind spots. It's becoming more apparent by the Block that UASF may become necessary to #FixTheFilters. Nodes (Users) have had to deal with dishonest Miners in the past, and we may need to do so again in the future.
