At the end of the day, I can decide not to update Core or just run Knots. But that doesn’t fix the core issue: I no longer trust the people steering the ship. So here’s the question: do Core devs honestly believe the average Bitcoiner still trusts them enough to guard their life savings and more importantly, their freedom? I don’t think so. But here’s the most alarming part: I have a feeling they don’t give a single fuck. One of them even said, “I’m a lawyer but not your lawyer.” What the fuck does that mean? They probably think since average Bitcoin users aren’t funding them, they don’t matter. As if we, the hodlers and node runners, aren’t relevant.

This is the conversation in our local bitcoin chat. Loss of trust and a lot of confusion amongst newly orange pilled. Quite sad really

Have you ever tried talking to some of them? Or actually listening to their rationale?
Correct. They dont give a fuck. Nobody cares about shit as long as NGU. (Because they could afford to save over the last 10yrs, while the rest of us couldnt keep up with inflation and taxes. Now they are clapping for government involvement with bitcoin too, because NGU again) Basically everybody's saying fuck the poor people, let's get rich. Wishing poorness upon them all for contributing to our downfall. ✌️

Examine correctly! Who trusts 100% more? They consider the people who hodla or the node runners of inferior people. Community opinions don't count anymore? 🤷‍♂️ nevent1qqspfy6rkupnx4w04lhekhdwc7tjuj2efjnz7qn45jrsykg0d9r2z6cpndmhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp0y5erqamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd3skuep0y5erqffjxpshvct5v9ez2v3swaehxw309ahx7um5wgh8w6twv5hj2v3sy5erqctkv96xzu39xgc8wumn8ghj7ur4wfcxcetjv4kxz7fwvdhk6te9xgc8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7ffjxpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctv9u545n2e
Even if you do this in Core, it won’t work. Datacarriersize is broken in Core. If you don’t want to switch to Knots, you can apply Luke’s Ordisrespector patch. Still not ideal, but it helps with inscriptions.
In fact everyone that switched to Knots better do this manually form the spam filtering tab. Otherwise he’ll still relay data to the network.
pretty soon we can all just vibe code our own node software. like a self-made tailored suit. ultimately they are the ones not needes
The worst is yet to come. The idealistic first generation of devs has been replaced by people who only see bitcoin as a means to get VC money. The only hope is multiple client implementations.

Naiive. In our case, the listeners can choose which band to listen to. They even can listen to a certain song forever. This means the person who pays the band and decides what music will be played can be left in an empty room, with the band.
Say it loud and all together: U A S F freaks! #uasf h/t @poe😱
