I am starting to have doubts in bitcoin apps. Nobody really knows where this crazy shit mania using AI is going. I wonder how much code is written by AI crapclaws and others in all bitcoin apps. How many breaches let open these claws. We should start worrying where and how we are using out sats now. Nothing is safe anymore and we are blindly using any new "vibecoded" app and give access to our sats. One day, after using these vibecoded apps, you will notice that all your sats are gone. Who you are going to blame? - The AI will never be responsible. - The "prompt manager" (we cannot call them devs anymore) will say that they "verified" the code, but in fact they have no idea what they are doing, they were just rushed to get the checks from VCs. - your funds will be gone and you can do nothing about it. So no, I will not use or test any app written by an "agent", especially using my money.

*My money Adding to that, where My privacy - is at stake. AI is not an invitation to produce mire shit (that's fiat mindset). Produce less. Improve what is there. Check for security holes. Spaces of sanity and integrity are what is most important in these times.
Valid points here. I feel we're at the point now that there really is no app that's fully human-written. It may not be "written by an agent" but it seems that all coding is now agent-aided in the least.

@DarthCoin ₿⚡️ you do realize that also pre AI tons of apps that bitcoiners use on daily basis had lots of holes right? The quality of code was never exceptional, theres just more code now. While I agree with the sentiment of not putting your keys into every vibecoded app out there the fact that code was written by AI instead of a hungover dev, who actually is only a dev because his rock band dream fell apart and he stumbled into a one week bootcamp and now calls himself a full stack dev, is at this point in time maybe more of a sign that is on average better not worse I'm talking about apps that were engineered with the help of agentic tools, not random shit that was one shot prompted by a drunk influencer obviously.
that’s an independent topic of Bitcoin, isn’t it? And actually independent of AI, isn’t it? How many crappy and not working nostr apps did you recently use ;) but generally I very much agree. those apps are also not to use, nobody will use them anyway. I wanted to more share how impressed I was that it seems to build something like that in one shot and even have the prompt written by AI. The agent already tries to do end to end tests. basic pen test are also possible already I guess. We’ll see where this all goes. I like NWC there as I can have very strict permissions and move the control outside of the app. So the trust I need to have in the app is minimal.
It’s not a mania This is the next industrial revolution LLMs write better code, but the nature of the engineering side has changed Should inexperienced developers build anything security or money related??? Probably not! Not on the Web especially. Web apps are not for money or security… ever. Can an experienced engineer adapt to LLM-driven engineering? Yes! And it is engineering. Vibe coders are scary, but many many hand coded tools and software libraries have failed spectacularly in the past sans vibe code! Automated coding can and will do the same thing. There is no perfect “safety” in any software system. View quoted note →

Yup, I’ve been having the same thought. Retardation levels are escalating & I am doubting the security of any app made with this shit. I see people integrating it into their wallets (do they not fucking know what a prompt injection attack is?) and I suspect there’s an idiocy virus unleashed

I like a quote from Max Keiser about this AI topic. He said that AI is just a speed tool. If we all agree we are in a clown world, then AI is just making stupidity faster. My conclusion is that we still have to work a lot in the foundations making people intelligent and with integrity again After this is achieved we can talk about speeding things up If we keep it simple and stick to the basics, then AI is not that relevant So i think we have to use AI with a lot of caution and just to automate time consuming irrelevant stuff not make it the main core tool in our works
