Made a Bitchat video! Has been awesome to see this used at many Bitcoin events as a demo, but even more awesome to see it used during protests under authoritarian regimes and natural disasters when Internet goes down.

So valuable.
Love Bitchat. But it lacks some kind of compatibility with Meshtastic. Too few people live around me so LoRA is necessary...
meshtastic devs: step up
post me a link to the sauce so i dont get scam camped?
Why use LoRa when you can use 802.11ah?
(Aka WiFi Halow)

The nice thing about WiFi is that it uses OFDMA.
Low frequencies no longer mean low throughput. In theory you can use infinitely narrow frequency bands at low frequencies if you have infinitely linear hardware.

had same idea awhile ago, hopefully someone figures it out.

Bitchat is not real freedom tech as long as keeps tracking users' location data. Just saying😑...
https://nym.bar/ is way better!
For anyone watching this video, please remember that the maximum possible distance you can get is one mile because you can have a maximum of seven hops and with Bluetooth maximum range it equates to about one mile physically.
Something like #meshtastic, while it does require another physical device to be purchased, does get a lot farther.
If you wish to chat 1 mile over the mesh, BitChat can absolutely do that. If you want to chat 50 miles over a mesh, BitChat cannot do that, #meshtastic can.
Its their choice not to use a vpn
Great video!
Unfortunately very niche, but extremely handy in certain contexts.
