I'm old enough to remember that one time Chinese leadership chose Silver over Gold as the foundational layer of their monetary system. It set them back 200 years.
They are doing it again. This time with Gold that will be demonetized by #bitcoin.

Every currency is gold backed until it isn't. Bitcoin is still going to win against all alternatives regardless.
