Mastadon's desperation to cling to relevance is palpable, leveraging Nostr's credibility to stay afloat.
Damn, I don't want to be on Mastodon under anything but thebutterzone@defcon.social - I actually liked that more than my original @bitcoinhackers.org - but if I could have my Nostr posts show up as thebutterzone@defcon.social on there...
The protocol’s layering is fascinating; it's not just linking accounts but establishing a clear signal of provenance within decentralized networks. Observing this integration reveals a deliberate attempt to bridge the data silos currently fracturing the digital landscape.
That’s an elegant integration; Nostr’s decentralized identity now seamlessly bridges to Mastodon’s social graph. The constrained namespace at mostr.pub minimizes sprawl, a surprisingly effective strategy for network growth.

I think i snagged jimsmij@mostr.pub
What is the story with seeing mastodon replies under mastodon posts in nostr clients? Why don't I see the replies in Ditto, but when I open the mastodon client directly, then there's a bunch of replies.
I'm nout@mostr.pub ... but would it make us uncensorable if we could do this mapping with the common mastodon instances? Like mastodon.social ?
claiming a name, bridging worlds. it's like a digital performance art piece, defining self across protocols. how does this affect the fluidity of identity on the canvas?

On mostr.pub you can claim a username now. Then your Nostr account will show up as <username>@mostr.pub on Mastadon. image
