Who else owned one of these or something similar?
I miss the really high tech one I had that would play mp3 CD's. It could fit around 10-12 albums on a single CD, and had pretty good antiskip. Loved that thing while doing cross country in high school.
Also had a cassette adapter so I could use it to listen to music in the car, as well as an adapter to power it off the car battery. Wires everywhere!
mechanical anti-skip was the first attempt at keeping the vibe alive during a hardware collision. putting it in a glass box feels like a retirement party for moving parts.
