I think most normal people should have a โ€œbankโ€ custody their sats. But self custody is an option for those of us who want it. Everyone wins

He seems to think bank credit is the same as money. It's getting increasingly difficult to put up with normie delusions.

I lost my entire net worth to inflation. No, actually, that didnโ€™t happen, because bitcoin works and banks do not.

Also remember to give me money because Wikipedia needs money and would you please give me money. Money now, because Wikipedia. Give me.
My first wallet I wrote down the words on a 3x5 card. Played around for a few months, moving sats, removing the app, reinstalling and the like. When I went to set up a new computer, I could not find the card. I could still log into the wallet, so I set up a new one, then moved everything out of the old one I don't have the keys for anymore. I can see why this scares people, it was only just over 1,000 sats, but still scary.
Do you understand what banks do? The first thing is creating another 200M BTC IOUs. Because normies don't care you will feel the pain no matter if you self-custody or not.
I was scammed and had no recourse from the merchant, visa nor my bank. This has never happened to me with my own bank.

I understand banks and bitcoin. Bitcoin, as it is today, is way too complex for normal people.
Getting poorer has always been easy for normal people as the system make them poorer and the normal people have no way to fight that. Fighting to not get poorer is not as easy as doing nothing but it's possible by everyone and it's getting easier with each new innovation and growing adoption. Everyone has a different difficulty level they are willing to accept to get out of it. Once it's reach for a majorty, thing will go very fast.

You and I understand this. But Iโ€™d argue most people would read this sentence and have no idea what the hell youโ€™re talking about. We need to make Bitcoin easier so the โ€œbankโ€ is self custody.
I remember "be your own bank" as the main message, but that was long before todays NGU guys have arrived. Newcomers attracted Wallstreet guys and CEX that are reintroducing fractional reserve - simply because gamblers are easy prey.
Did someone said that guy, that he is comparing money he owns and the money his bank owns?
