One flavor has fluoride and arsenic in it, but extra VC sugar. It's disingenuous to act like there's no difference. Once plebs can't afford to run nodes, Bitcoin is dead and so is your generational wealth.

And why would any of this make nodes any more expensive to run? Because they don't.... Again you are critical of a problem that does not exist because you don't understand the real implications of this change and just want to placate to your peers by virtue signaling based on the implementation you run. Prove me wrong. How does running core make nodes more expensive to run?

I don't trust anyone. You're the one trusting "the experts" here. I've read the code. I use my node in the command line. I write my own bitcoin conf and service files and I compile my own executables from source. Do you? Running knots will not make the chain have less jpegs on it. But hey, your experts would have you believe that. PROVE ME WRONG. HOW DOES RUNNING CORE, AS OPPOSED TO RUNNING KNOTS, MAKE RUNNING NODES MORE EXPENSIVE?

It's the same story with all of you. You can't argue facts so you start spouting ideology and memes. Plugging your ears and covering your eyes and shouting back because you don't how to actually respond to the facts. I'm asking you a question. You can't answer it. You just know "core bad" because someone made you believe it's allowing more jpegs on chain, which it isn't...

Bitcoin is philosophy first, and code second. NPC midwits like you have too much fiat hubris pumped into you from money printers to understand. It doesn't even matter if your technically right. Much like COVID, heuristics of how it's being quickly shoved down user throats are all that's necessary to recognize the corruption.

Your responses are so steeped in altruism, disrespect and ego. You would be among the first to appeal to authority. I don't know wtf you're talking about NPC with fiat hubris. I actually build software. I actually run nodes. I actually contribute. I have enough fiat to pay my bills every month and literally everything else I have besides my one home is in Bitcoin. I don't have savings, I don't have a traditional retirement. You can miss me with all that shit. You haven't answered a single question I asked. Because you know the truth won't fit your narrative. There was nothing swift about this change either. It's been being discussed for years.

The change has been controversial for years, with no change. That used to be enough to stop Bitcoin Core, as it should be. Now it's not. And anyone with their head removed from their rectum knows why.

It is cheaper to run a bitcoin node now than ever before. Bitcoin Core has a rough consensus review process to make sure there is no arsenic (security flaws) in it. The other implementations don’t even come close to the number of competent software engineers that look at new code before it gets published.
