Interesting post. One's personal comfort is one thing, depends on so many details. But the one thing I've stuck to rigidly over 13 years: I *never* recommend buying, to anyone. Make the thing actually work. As I used to put it, gold did not become money because it had a good marketing team 😄 A less flippant point: *products* need marketing; for a protocol I think it's counterproductive. A money needs credible neutrality.
