My favourite Canadian. Let's be KYC free FOSS promoting, custodial less bitcoiners! Say fu to WoS custodial type wallets.
Fucking interesting. Thank you!
Wow! A play list I need to watch. Would recommend a SeedSigner on there too. We tried to use a Jade yesterday for a project. It's just too hard. Spent over 1 hour trying to connect the stupid thing, didn't even want to do that.
SeedSigner does it all faster and easier without needing to connect to a PC.
A question: Has my privacy improved by passing funds through the liquid side chain?
Excellent tutorial - thanks!
The SideSwap app is not required to peg-in/out of Liquid. You can do it from their website. The same way you would do a swap on Boltz.

SideSwap - Settlement infrastructure of the Liquid Network
The most convenient way to hold, send, receive and swap assets on the Liquid Network, a bitcoin sidechain built for securities issuance and trading.
Thank you Ben! 💜
Another great video, I appreciate you going through these tutorials on Liquid. I have a question - Does it matter if I use BIP49 or BIP84 single sig L-BTC addresses?
holy guacamole ben!
Interesting video and I like the flow between these different Bitcoin layers.
I use LN and Liquid at times. I use Boltz so I can have incoming capacity in my Phoenix Wallet and pass Sats to an L-BTC Wallet (either Green or sideswap).
But in this case the variant is that to get Bitcoin with fiat. I start in a P2P market (here in Venezuela is complex). And I choose to interact in the telegram bot LNp2pbot (there is also the Robosats exchange).
And there I directly get LN to my wallet and deosiesde exchange to L-btc and sometimes I use sideswap to exchange to USDt (liquid).
The possibilities are wide.
Using p2p without KYC could be used in the flow you show in your video without any problem.

Very well done 👍

Can you use seedsigner with Green to secure liquid BTC?
thank you for your service
My noob understanding is it would be pretty hard to link funds in the peg in -> peg out process. Plus liquid txs have confidential amounts. I may be wrong tho
Loved the lightning/liquid video. Can you recommend exchanges that are good for people in the UK. Trying to buy no KYC sats with minimal withdrawal fees for GBP. So far I think HodlHodl might be my best bet?
I wanna know!
The people need this info
Amazing compellation. Thank you brother.
Did this inspire the video or are we just thinking the same thing 😂

hey @BTC Sessions concerning your video on reducing your on-chain fees, this is awesome, but what would you recommend for EU... ??? because there is no bullbitcoin alternative here ..thx for everything you do !!!

Thanks for these recommendations! I couldn't find anyone selling for GBP on robosats and HodlHodl was limited but @peachbitcoin has been fantastic. My only issue is that I want to payout to my nunchuk wallet that uses an air gapped block stream Jade but peach requires you sign a message to confirm wallet ownership and I can't seem to find anyway to do this in nunchuk or on my Jade ?
Another option for a Liquid app.
There is also a hardware signer.

Check this blog post for a list of apps, exchanges, and swap services.
Finding a exchange to buy L-BTC that works for you might be difficult so an easy way to get L-BTC is to acquire BTC first and then swap or peg-in for L-BTC.
If buying BTC from an exchange that doesn't offer Lighting withdrawals or swapping existing BTC, you can use boltz.exchange to swap BTC for L-BTC (0.1% swap fee) or sideswap.io/peg-in-out/ to perform a peg-in (0.1% peg-in fee).
Depending on the amount pegged in with SideSwap it might take 2 or 102 confirmations. Check their FAQ for details.
With Boltz, the L-BTC is sent as soon as the LN payment is received.
SideSwap also has it's own app but I suggest you use Blockstream Green to generate the receiving addresses for Boltz or SideSwap.
If buying BTC from an exchange that do LN withdraws or swapping existing BTC on Lightning, you can use boltz.exchange to swap into Liquid (0.25% swap fee).
For peg-out from L-BTC to BTC, you can use boltz.exchange (0.5% swap fee) or sideswap.io/peg-in-out/ (0.1% pet-out fee). See their FAQ for details.
Check this tutorial to see how to use the services mentioned.
