- Zaps are fun, but not the as important as we thought (maybe in the future?) - Normies don't care about censorship resistance - Social payment (Venmo like) is really good here, it will get much better - DVMs are really really far out, testing with Unleashed.chat not even 1% of the userbase uses it. I think the cross application of the network graph is the best supper power Nostr has. An example is long form note with note replies, Nostr likes, Nostr zaps, being discovered by a Nostr backed site completely unrelated to Nostr twitter. It's when ppl have no idea Nostr is the rails. Yup, probably the #1 reason why I put the majority of my social media energy into Nostr is because I know these followers will remain attached to me for ALL future apps. No more starting from zero ever again when jumping to a new platform. All it took was a few bullish podcasts convincing me that this will indeed be the future of the protocol, and I went all-in.

Group chat really needs to be built into all clients so we can pick and choose our way to interact but the network growth remains at the protocol layer.

I don’t give a shit about any of this. I like Nostr and will keep using it (only) bc I like the people here and have a significantly better experience than on any other social by far.

The portable network graphs feature of the protocol is what convinced me that this will work
> Zaps are fun, but not the as important as we thought I don't agree. Very often when outside of nostr I see something I like I wish I could zap it. > Normies don't care about censorship resistance they don't care about it YET, and that's ok, most people don't understand why something is important until it's too late > DVMs are really really far out, testing with Unleashed.chat not even 1% of the userbase uses it. I'm sure that's true but I don't see that as a problem; it's the 90-9-1 Rule

I don’t care. Nostr has enough core support to continue working and it works perfectly for what I want and has connected me in an anti-fragile way with the people I seek. So I’ll be here everyday using it and supporting it regardless of the hot takes.
Sure it has enough support for now but if it's just a small subset of bitcoiners & no user growth then funding for that development is likely to shrink. This is why people like Jack want ideas to get more users onto Nostr and he has some experience in the area of social media/networks. You don't care but those who want this to grow do care.
