The legal system is a bit opaque to me.
Eli5 what this would mean for him?
I'm assuming if the government retries some of the charges that he would remain in jail until such charges were tried again.
What about partial verdicts?
How is that not double jeopardy? Or is that just because it’s a partial verdict?
The ones who enforce the rules make the rules.
