nos.lol is run by @someone (a generous nostr OG). It has nothing to do with nos.social, a client @rabble (a legend) and a team work on and their associated relay is relay.nos.social.

Rabble is a legend. I can't wait for him to onboard hundreds of thousands of people by turning causes.com into a Nostr client. Thats going to be incredible for Nostr growth! Anyways, one thing that's cool about Nostr is that it allows for a wide range of social experiences all built on the same protocol. Not all apps will be the same, because not all humans are the same.
That bot helps build a specific social experience for users that want to use @npub1pu3v...tfch. Nos won't be for everyone, but it doesn't have to be either. We have plenty of choices here.
I believe the bot flagged me once. I was pissed at first and then I realized I don't care all that much because I don't use nos.
Thatβs your right not to care. I care though. Free speech is extremely important to me.
He has talked about the why many of times over the past year I have been here. He is building tools that Nostr users can customize their own experience. Nos is not censoring you on Nostr, we can still see you. The tool is for those who want to create a more filtered experience. It has nothing to do with you personally.
You still have free speech though.

It seems to me the tool is malicious by design.
fair enough. if nostr is going to be an actual protocol where each user can govern themselves, not using the tool is an option.
