It’s interesting how people who have no previous interest in sports are all of a sudden into a boxing match. Some sort of group signaling or something. People want to be part of the “current thing”.

Mike Tyson is a fuckin legend… the fact that he’s even coming out tonight says a lot about the state of the economy. How’s that not worth a watch?
I remember watching Tyson fights with my dad as a kid. I'm watching this fight for nostalgic reasons.

I used to watch Pride FC a lot. I always got suuuuper excited for the “freak show” fights. They were always a disappointment. I fear tonight will suffer that same fate.
Imagine if Joe Rogan got into the ring with an all time champion (ignoring that Rogan was involved in MMA). Or what if it was Taylor Swift. The reason is purely bc of the social media followings, and billions of ppl are addicted to ‘trad’ social media.
Yes. I guess my point is it has nothing to do with boxing. It’s just two famous people with huge followings coming together in direct competition. That’s one of the purest most supreme forms of clickbait
For sure. Also this is great timing. Everyone needs a distraction from the election results. I swear something new is happening every day because of the results. "Bread and circus"

I bought bitcoin for the first time after several months on Nostr. Jack Spirko sent me.
Plenty of people here are Nostr first. Freedom culture comes in many diverse flavors, yet is somehow its own strange attractor.
