Just used it and have a good initial impression. Literally put the first thing that popped into my mind, which in this case was very random but I can see other moments of inflection where something important, a detail, flash thought that can be impactful later.. the highlight is the simplicity, speed and sleek design for me. πŸ‘great start! Installed on home screen btw
Not necessarily. I think the more your mind is buzzing the more you will need to write down ideas πŸ’‘
More feedback I will add, is at least for me was a little confused what the purpose of it was and how to use it at first, but it is a cool app. Could quite easily make this a Nostr app, and you could share your silent thoughts whith thr community as well as publish the link in a note to share with others. I could probably implement that quite easily, I am sure you could probably as well. I do like this idea very much, people are distracting themselves far too much with technology to ever have real uninterrupted thoughts.
Would be cool, if it was an app on your phone, that could track if the screen is really turned off. It could then count the off screen time and send you sats for hours without screen. Similar to @RUNSTR sending sats for steps.
Yeah, A meditation tool built for bitcoiners and problem-solvers actually makes sense: pause, capture your first clear thought, then disconnect intentionally. If this becomes Nostr-native, it could be powerful: key-based identity, no accounts signed β€œproof-of-offline” sessions zaps that reward restraint, not scrolling Less noise, more clarity. This feels like mental self-custody!
Oh true didn't think about that, I was imagining some chill nature related like those relaxing vids, nature sounds, waterfalls, birds, etc. Maybe some non copyright track? Just very low at start and with an option for the user to stop
Small text and not a lot of info on the website about it, I got it after a second, and the app worked quite well. Keep up the great work fren! Thanks for the ⚑
-Easy to add, night mode for when an idea might hit at night - Maybe a voice record clip of 30-60 sec max to get a longer thought in(the option/icon) - cycle the text/prompts below the timer slower, and in order as in β€œheres whats going to happen”, ie it says to turn off phone first - variety on the text below timer, such as breathe, seek whats important to you, tao phrases etc to induce meditation
impressive idea. Here are my thoughts: It would be great for an app that will silent in the background all apps by going into this app. It stops everything except for this app. You may ask but would not be easy to simply turn off your phone? The idea is to remove distraction when you need time to focus. Eg meditate, creative endeavour, walk or nature time, etc. It counts how many hours you are off your screen (which tracks your screen time on/off). Allows to schedule the hibernation of the app. So if you schedule to meditate at 7:00 then all apps except this one will be inaccessible including internet. Emergency dial is the only available and this app. It sends a reminder that in 1 min or 30 seconds the hibernation starts. User can choose to continue or not. If no response then it means to go on hibernation. Make it difficult (two or 3 clicks) to disable the app when you started the hibernation (focus time) so it encourages people to carry on with the hibernation. It's a start and got more if you want ☺️ hope that helps πŸ«‚πŸ˜€
Thanks! I don’t think it’s possible as that would need operating system level permissions on your phone. But nice ideas πŸ’‘
I've had great results with an app called OneSec. It adds a layer of 'conscious friction' by making you meditate for a few seconds before an app opens, asking: 'Do you really want to do this?' It’s a game-changer for impulse control. To take this further, we could look at: Hard-Stop Pomodoros: An add-on that doesn't just suggest a rest, but requires a meditation session to 'unlock' the next work sprint. Social Accountability: Adding gamified elements like leaderboards or daily check-in streaks to make the habit stick through healthy competition. πŸ˜‰ View quoted note β†’

Easy... A notifification that says: Remember your health first Easy... A notification that says: Remember your health first, turn off the screen for you

I pity those poor sods that work on a 16-inch screen. Cruel and unusual.

Even if your app is the best you are doomed if don’t manage a good ad strategy. App Store is a pay to win game.
This feels refreshingly anti noise. I love how it doesn’t add another habit, but helps you step away from the screen and capture your clearest thought. Simple, intentional, and surprisingly grounding...
Very on-brand for Bitcoiners less dopamine, more signal. Turning the screen off instead of keeping users hooked is a bold and much-needed design choice... All the best πŸ‘
It feels less like an β€œapp” and more like a mental tool. A small ritual that helps you clear your head, reset your focus, and move forward with a bit more clarity. In a world optimized for distraction, this kind of restraint is rare and refreshing.
This doesn’t feel like a productivity hack it feels like mental hygiene. A quick check-in, a clear thought, then back to real life. That restraint is rare in software today. πŸ’œπŸ€™πŸΌ
Theres so many "meditation" apps & screen shut offs alternatives another one is just adding useless to the useless pile just like these half baked nostr clients coming out that just copy cat others & don't work well on chromium browsers. There isn't a problem that these apps will solve. People lack discipline & happiness apps that instruct you what to do most people ignore because they want to be happy doing what their doing which is ignoring the notification. Don't think another chat application either theres so many & every new one popping up is now just a clone of nostr dms which btw they all hype the same shit which is bs. They all copy the same layout too which is horrible idk why people don't be original to come up with a better UX then do the same layout every other app has. Im tired of seeing the same layout no matter what app I try where did all the creative people go who made apps? Probably retired & fucking on wealth since they got out of the dev game in 2010. Basically don't do what the majority has done make something actually useful for people. What I would want to see is a community app where peoples profiles are full markdown webpages. A space where your account lets you create unlimited markdown pages. Yes this is similar to rentry, sntry(site shutdown)(still self hostable), & fluffee. A native android apk which takes this idea further into a community app of searchable communities. Each account can make public chat rooms & private rooms that they can put this chat in their markdown pages as a module so the chat can appear live on the webpage as people are looking at it those with accs can chat & those without could use a guest nickname if enabled. There will be alot more controls I would explain the rest if you actually try to build the app.

I did research first and couldn’t find an app like the one I wanted, so I built it. You should do the same!

Great. But the type of sounds in the app. U need to make it customized. The users may check from a Play list. Even the timer I think it will be better if u can make it sets by the users
