How is it possible there is no Thunderbird-like FOSS web client to work with calDAV servers?

Oh my god Frickin' preach. I've halfway debated vibe coding one because I am so sick of a terrible mail clients and calendars for Linux.
Endeavour is pretty decent, but again, it's calendar interface and to-do interface kind of suck.
you wouldn't believe how many obvious things don't exist
Doesnt roundcube support webdav? That's my webmail solution.
I loved Gmail's desktop UI and features.... never will find another like it.
You can use Sogo
It reads external caldav but you need to use their caldav instance for writes
i got claude to make me a simple web client for calDav last night ๐
thanks, saw that one. ..i already have a self-hosted baikal instance though.
i got claude to build a simple web client for caldav. pretty serviceable!
i've had claude make a load of neat things for me. one was a keyboard shortcut that turns off the display on my pc manually. took like 2 scripts and 3 or 4 different tools.
i also recently got it to make me a playwright based web scraper for job listings on the internet. so many sites the simple http fetch just gets you an empty page with javascript so playwright gives it a headless browser simulation to push buttons and make requests based on the javascript calls. it runs every afternoon a little before end of day and i feed its output to claude to thin it out to the most probable candidate roles to apply for. i get 1-3 applications out most days, sometimes none, yesterday was particularly thin
