Do you ever feel like we've just invented a bunch of stuff just to keep ourselves occupied? What are we REALLY doing?

To stay busy and distracted.
Someone, a while ago, did describe nostr as devs without users, as opposed to bluesky, which was described as users without devs lol. Maybe that's incorrect on both acocounts now? 🤔

A useful but challenging line of thought to explore. Solomon had some thoughts about this back in the day.

Jessica Livingston, cofounder of YC - (shortened version) : “All too often, I've seen founders build some initially mediocre product, announce it to the world, find that users never show up, and not know what to do next. As well as not getting any users, the startup never gets the feedback it needs to improve the product. So why wouldn't all founders start by engaging with users individually? Because it's hard and demoralizing. It gives you a kind of harsh feedback. You try to convince someone to use what you've built, and they won't. These conversations are painful, but necessary.”

All the time. I also feel like they separate us and continually distract us from what is really important in our life. Love, purpose, family, and community. We are in the process of removing everything from our lives, so that we can live.
