This guy! I rarely have a glass of wine or a beer. Does that count? I've had more than one drink one time in 4-5 years, don't do drugs and plan on staying that way.
I only drink @ the week we celebrate halloween and after that sober for the hole year. But its only that i can handle the normie talk for a couple days with frens and fan . Always be positive and laugh. Followd 🫂
Whenever I try that the alcohol hits like a brick wall and you remember why you don’t haha.

what do U mean by sober?
Some of the best people I’ve met in this community are sober. Per capita plebs are definitely up there. 😀 I too am inspired by those who show proof of work through sobriety. It’s honestly cool as shit.

certain prescriptions i should say
Someone wrote that all things we eat alter the consciousness. An apple is also psychedelic, like LSD, but not so strong. I think it was Timothy Leary or Robert Anton Wilson. First it sounds weird, but when you think about that most things we consume are getting into our blood circulation and crossing the blood brain barrier, it's reasonable to say it.

everything is mind altering lol
I drink coffee ☕️, somehow stayed away from chewing tobacco from four years now. Was on antidepressants and anxiety meds for a bit. I've heard alot of stories about addictive painkillers. Never tried them when drinking, but want to avoid that risk. My back and hip was messed up pretty bad earlier this week, had to go to hospital. Only Tylenol and some light muscle relaxants. Told doctor I didn't want anything else. Congrats on your sobriety! 🫂

t-y SoberGrizzlyBTC. do U know Bill?
if you're keto or something and eat a plate of pasta after 4mos of no carbs its becomes clear pretty quick I think everything is like that that why "sobriety", although admirable, is kinda a myth
Sober as in alcohol? That's a massive yes, three years-ish and not counting.

welcome to nostr
More California sober with a drink here and there. I beat the demons though. And drink a lot less than I used to. Productivity way up. Stronger. And more energy.
Simple really; the low time preference mindset thanks to Bitcoin. I know me and my daughter have a bright future ahead of us so I want to be at the best, fittest possible version of myself when I'm old so she doesn't have to take care of me and can focus on her own family. To me, quitting something completely is the only way to not crave it. That's why I'm seen as the crazy guy for declining every seemingly harmless temptation.
It is not, because it is your life 🧡 You can have all the wealth in the world, but if you are not living your life how you would like to live it then what the hell are you doing anyways?

Got sober 4 years ago, October 22nd 2020. A good choice, and I have absolutely no intention of going back to alcohol. 🧡 Pura Vida 🏝️

Quit drinking just over a year ago now, quit smoking weed about 20yrs ago and cigs about 15yrs ago, or whenever they reached about $10CAD per pack. I hear they’re over $20 per pack now. Trying really hard to eat nutrient dense foods. Lots of steak & eggs!

1 full week no alcohol today. I’m hoping to realize more energy, more motivation and a clear mind. Second kid is on the way and gotta be my best for them. Feeling better so far but it’s a marathon
When you give up substances that stimulate your being in a way that controls you instead of you controlling yourself, it's time to let go of those substances. In addition, you become more and more sensitive and start to build dynamic energy from within. This is one reason why I don't even smoke plants or drink caffeine... I prefer sober conversations with other people. It's much more authentic and profound because it doesn't come from being freed from inhibitions thanks to substances... it comes from the desire to share profound things and that has to do with courage. Courage to open up to the other person from within 🌞 Have a lovely Sunday 💜
You are very welcome...On an other note: we don't have to be prefect 😉 Taking life more playful would do good to all of us. Wishing yo a beautiful Sunday too 🫂🌞
We started making homebrew Kombucha instead of beer, because we didn't want to wreck our health. Best decision.
