Nice, got you followed again!
Just celebrated 9 yrs
Congrats!!! That is incredible
Thanks I do have her followed. The podcast with @QW was an inspiration 🙌🏻
This guy! I rarely have a glass of wine or a beer. Does that count?
I've had more than one drink one time in 4-5 years, don't do drugs and plan on staying that way.
No drink or drugs for seven years now. 😁🤙
Heck yeah. Congratulations! Got you followed.
If that works for you it's a good thing. Can be different for each person. Some people can't stop at 1.
I only drink @ the week we celebrate halloween and after that sober for the hole year. But its only that i can handle the normie talk for a couple days with frens and fan . Always be positive and laugh. Followd 🫂
One day at a time
Awww shucks thank you 🙏🏻
Congratulations 🎈🎉
16 years sober. But I need work in the positivity department.
Whenever I try that the alcohol hits like a brick wall and you remember why you don’t haha.
what do U mean by sober?
You're welcome. 🙂
Drugs are boring
For me, no alcohol, no weed, and no mind altering substances. Complete sobriety. Not easy initially, but life changing.
Don't forget no books!!!
Wow congrats on 16 years!!! Shows others that it's possible. It can be tough to be positive sometimes.
Wait what lul 😅
mind altering substances 😉
Sober (except coffee)
Some of the best people I’ve met in this community are sober.
Per capita plebs are definitely up there. 😀
I too am inspired by those who show proof of work through sobriety. It’s honestly cool as shit.
It can be pedantic sometimes
To what extent does the food we eat alter our consciousness?
Yup. 15 years...
Awww 🥰 hugs 🫂 brother
It ain’t easy but it’s worth it. Sober people get shit done.
coffee, nicotine, prescription drugs all out then? serious ? sober from heroin longtime & don't drink, no prescriptions but......
Gotta have the coffee ☕️ 😂
Congrats! 👏🏻
certain prescriptions i should say
Someone wrote that all things we eat alter the consciousness. An apple is also psychedelic, like LSD, but not so strong.
I think it was Timothy Leary or Robert Anton Wilson.
First it sounds weird, but when you think about that most things we consume are getting into our blood circulation and crossing the blood brain barrier, it's reasonable to say it.
Coffeein is a hell of a drug😂
everything is mind altering lol
Necter of the gods! ☕
I drink coffee ☕️, somehow stayed away from chewing tobacco from four years now. Was on antidepressants and anxiety meds for a bit. I've heard alot of stories about addictive painkillers. Never tried them when drinking, but want to avoid that risk. My back and hip was messed up pretty bad earlier this week, had to go to hospital. Only Tylenol and some light muscle relaxants. Told doctor I didn't want anything else.
Congrats on your sobriety! 🫂
Interesting point about food. There is room for improvement with my diet.
t-y SoberGrizzlyBTC. do U know Bill?
Sober for nearly 2 years now, went from heavy substance user most of my adult life to not even consuming candy or cookies anymore.
You're welcome. Yes, I am a friend of Bill. 🤝
I was additives video games, only time I play them now is with my son. But none on my own
followed fren
Thank you! I honestly can't even remember the other way. Still have friends that wake up hungover, I can't even imagine....
if you're keto or something
and eat a plate of pasta after 4mos of no carbs its becomes clear pretty quick I think
everything is like that
that why "sobriety", although admirable,
is kinda a myth
Curious if that makes you *more* sober
or if it adjusts your consciousness to a preferable state 😉
If you put it that way, sure absolutely.
I think most people are talking about legal and illegal drugs when they talk about sobriety.
yeah for sure
i just mean there are subtle levels of consciousness.
it's good to aspire to clarity.
"levels" isnt really putting it the right way.
but you know what I mean.
Positivity is the only way up 🤘🏼
Sober more than a decade.
👋
Sober as in alcohol? That's a massive yes, three years-ish and not counting.
I mean I’m sober right now..
yeah. everyday before lunchtime
welcome to nostr

Yeah I’m not now..
That is awesome. Keep focusing on the present. 🫂
Yeah, I used to spend so much much time on video games. Since finding #Bitcoin and going back to college, I cut that out completely too. Good work!
yes 🫂
Congrats on 2 years! What helped with avoiding snacks and sugar?
That's along time without a drink. Nice work. I'm an alcoholic so yeah avoid booze at all costs personally. One day at a time.
thank you!
Incredible 👏🏻 got you followed!
2014 Nov 14
Nicotine and caffeine only
Almost 10 years! Thanks for sharing your sobriety birthday. Mine is 09/09/2020 🫂
More California sober with a drink here and there.
I beat the demons though. And drink a lot less than I used to.
Productivity way up. Stronger. And more energy.
Congrats that is an incredible achievement, about to turn 10 years!
I never really started drinking and maybe just have one or two every couple months. I’ll admit I don’t post much though
Never done any drug my whole life. Alcohol really was never my thing either. Although will have one for special occasions, birthdays weddings but thats it.
Kombucha and Tea are my new crutches.
Thank you. That means a lot. Bitcoin is my new community so it can feel insignificant compared to generational wealth 🙏
Simple really; the low time preference mindset thanks to Bitcoin. I know me and my daughter have a bright future ahead of us so I want to be at the best, fittest possible version of myself when I'm old so she doesn't have to take care of me and can focus on her own family. To me, quitting something completely is the only way to not crave it. That's why I'm seen as the crazy guy for declining every seemingly harmless temptation.
Don’t really drink much except for the occasional drink. Way to go on your journey! How long have you been sober?
@SoberGrizzlyBTC #thanks for the #zap
Yep, 8 months.
It is not, because it is your life 🧡 You can have all the wealth in the world, but if you are not living your life how you would like to live it then what the hell are you doing anyways?
Right here Brother
🫡 🐇 🐰
6495 days ODAAT. Duly followed.
🙋🏽♀️ Me…about since 20 years probably ☺️
Same here 😊 and water kefir too
Thanks. A little over 4 years now.
Two decades amazing. 🙌🏻
Congrats on your sobriety! Got you followed 🤙🏻
That is like 17 years according to a calculator 🤯 👏🏻
Keep it up! I know it’s not always easy.
Off and on
Got sober 4 years ago, October 22nd 2020.
A good choice, and I have absolutely no intention of going back to alcohol. 🧡
Pura Vida 🏝️
Quit drinking just over a year ago now, quit smoking weed about 20yrs ago and cigs about 15yrs ago, or whenever they reached about $10CAD per pack. I hear they’re over $20 per pack now.
Trying really hard to eat nutrient dense foods. Lots of steak & eggs!
1 full week no alcohol today. I’m hoping to realize more energy, more motivation and a clear mind. Second kid is on the way and gotta be my best for them. Feeling better so far but it’s a marathon
When you give up substances that stimulate your being in a way that controls you instead of you controlling yourself, it's time to let go of those substances. In addition, you become more and more sensitive and start to build dynamic energy from within. This is one reason why I don't even smoke plants or drink caffeine... I prefer sober conversations with other people. It's much more authentic and profound because it doesn't come from being freed from inhibitions thanks to substances... it comes from the desire to share profound things and that has to do with courage. Courage to open up to the other person from within 🌞 Have a lovely Sunday 💜
Very well put. Thanks for sharing your experience. Have a great Sunday! 🫂
You are very welcome...On an other note: we don't have to be prefect 😉 Taking life more playful would do good to all of us.
Wishing yo a beautiful Sunday too 🫂🌞
It’s easy bro, I just don’t do anything dumb before I go to bed lmao
We started making homebrew Kombucha instead of beer, because we didn't want to wreck our health. Best decision.
