NIP-05 is mostly vanity. Your pubkey is your identity.
When my npub gets rugged you would still know the new npubs is me because the formstr domain will point to it. That is what the nip05 is for. Not for stupid twitter style check marks.

That’s why I said the 1% benefit and others don’t. I don’t mean to shit on you or your domain I was using it more as a broader application to anyone because frankly I don’t know many peoples domains … I could glance and say that looks familiar but that could just be spoofed too.

We do know about formstr, tho. Not all domains are as valuable. It's a social proof, so the proof depends upon the social recognition of the domain.
