⚡️🇺🇸 NEW - A Florida student was arrested and is now facing up to 15 years in jail for making a joke about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The student allegedly wrote, “Netanyahu, if you can hear me, drop some bonbons for us Capstone students in the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.” Investigators interpreted “bonbons” as a euphemism for explosives.

It surreal watching Americans choose to have their country taken over vs. being called "antisemetic".
This "judge" should consider using a thing called "judgement." It's absolutely not reasonable to think this is just kids f'ing around. And even if it wasn't at first glance, there's no way this girl should have gotten all the way to an organge jumpsuit and handcuffs to have to explain that. Maybe **at worst** police show up and knock on some doors, and it would have been abundantly obvious that this wasn't someone planning the next Columbine or whatever.
In what direction tho? Against the "tough on crime" Right-wing impulse to haul a teenage girl who made bad jokes online in chains in front of the judicial system? Or against the left-wing online language policing?
OK sure, but no way in everloving heck this should have gotten all the way to her in an orange jumpsuit before a judge. 10's of Adults in the Room should have realized this was just kids f'ing around before we got to this point.
That doesn't matter. Being dumb and juvenile is not a get out of consequences pass. Can't say bomb on a plane either. If she gets a pass for just being young and dumb, then it would happen a lot more often.
Good question. Idk but this is egregious. Goes against the very basis of western culture. There will be an equal and opposite reaction. And it will be violent
