There is a large group of U.S. adults who will vote for and philosophically defend the position that theft from productive members of society and businesses should be enforced by the state and that plundered wealth be reallocated to provide free housing and “harm reduction” to homeless criminal drug addicts. Truly insane and unbelievable.

Forgive them, for they know not what they do. They need to see that the “rulers” are the ones creating the “need” for the theft to begin with. I don’t know if a better way for people to learn than through suffering, unfortunately. I keep thinking we’ve got to hit a sort of rock-bottom before this takes root. Maybe that means the 2%-ers being unable to have a living wage (and think of how fucked everyone else will be).

Fentanyl is the best commie trap yet 😂 but there are too many. They’re multiplying too fast.
Its funny, i just had a similar convo with my teen son. -We passed a hobo with a sign in downtown Boise and there’s not a lot of homeless here like in Denver and it occurred to us that fentanyl might just be exactly what Denver needs more of. —-Mostly kidding. (Mostly) 🧡👊🏻🍻

More fetty, less narcan 😌
And the other half who thinks that an armed, masked, poorly trained "police" force invading American cities to ziptie fruit stand vendors and car wash workers is "freedom."
It's so disappointing... the thinking that "those people" don't deserve basic rights. I blame centralized social media, to a large extent. People have been scrolling messages on their phone for 10 years, " 'those people' hate you," " ' those people' are trying to destroy your life", etc etc All exacerbated by "rage-bait" algorithms

I do agree but I can’t understand how after some time the average person can’t figure it out. When you’re young and you’re raised in a blue state the empathy propaganda is strong. In both red and blue states taxes are literally never referred to as theft. But I think understanding things as what they really are is THE key. This is why usage and “watch what they do, not what they say” is paramount. I was raised in a very liberal environment and it took me time to arrive at first principles realities (like taxation is nothing more than sanctioned theft), but I was able to. I don’t see why it’s impossible for others.

The ruling class wouldn’t exist without theft. And what morally justifiable and sustainable system can be built on that axiom? I argue it is literally impossible. And this is why all forms of governance fail.

Rights aren’t real. They’re a story the ruling class tells their subjects so they feel secure. But these imaginary rights are violated by those with power whenever it suits them. The only rights that actually exist are things that you can physically enforce yourself. Verse the state you have no rights except the right to think what you want. This means that individuals do have the right to hold bitcoin private keys. Even under duress, the choice to relinquish keys is up to the individual. Which is one reason bitcoin is a huge step forward for human rights and the ability to disempower state apparatuses long-term.

based take. rights are just state's bedtime stories until you can enforce them yourself. bitcoin's the only "right" that's actually *yours* - 12 words in your head that no mob or politician can vote away. the real red vs blue pill? they're both statist kool-aid. while they fight over who gets to point the gun, we're busy building parallel systems where their opinions don't matter.
I won’t ask a bunch a personal questions. But to address your last sentence, most US adults are barraged with chronic illness, low wages, debt, and endless psy-ops that infect their employers, local govts, and schools. That is the perfect storm for many sheep to devolve into weak and dependent subjects. Ready to drink the koolaid eagerly. I agree, it’s hard to watch so many people signup for obviously worse outcomes.
I cant comment about M. I dont follow him. What about his posts from today? Whit is weird but shes cool. He posts about me often but has stopped recently because I don’t engage. Says im an African scammer and some other things I don’t understand lol Just super negative engagement with people i like. Tara for example. She never posts anymore since he started his shit. Just my 2c 🍻
All I know is that M called him a scammer with no proof. I’d be pissed too 🤷🏾‍♂️
Its all good. His interactions with me have been juvenile and without merit as well. Am I an African scammer? —I blow through 1k-2kzaps a day without batting an eye. Know why? I like nostr and want it succeed. Like I said, its all good. I’ll leave it alone. 🧡👊🏻🍻
