Next up is convincing client devs to do a head req on file sizes, and not downloading PFP that are ridiculously oversized.
I mean you’d have to get them to stop letting users link pfp from websites… both my pfp and banner are just links… I’ve never uploaded a picture for those…
You just do a head req without downloading to get the size. Then simply don't download PFP over a certain size. It could be a user configurable setting, to save bandwidth and give the user more control.
Seems good user choice is best for users

I couldn't find a client that would auto-play mp4/webm files as avatar or banner. But at least now Amethyst you can click on the banner and then watch it. Enjoy! 😎

Yeah it's something that is taken care of by most traditional web stuff, so it's not really something you think of, or should have to. We'll get that fixed on Nostr too so it's easier for people.
