i kinda agree though
Have no comparison to twitter, but I've learned almost nothing about how bitcoin works here, if that's what they are getting at.
i guess not talking about what the state wants us talk about is now considered shallow
@jb55 you probably have much better discussions than most other nostriches, because everyone follows you. Most people are hard to be found & as a consequence have less engagement within their niche(s).
Personalize discovery of relevant discussions would be a great feature to level up. Surely not easy though!

I guessing this is because you are used to an algorithm that is constantly showing you the most liked content. average day to day discussions between humans can be pretty shallow, nostr feels more like shooting the shit with your friends instead pumping rage bait and dopamine into you brain 24/7
This is also why I suspect people are generally nicer and happier on nostr, there is much less fighting because there is no algorithm that boosts angry and controversial threads.
not to say algorithms can't happen on nostr, there just aren't many in clients yet.β
It's a series of tubes.
I also think our discussion requires a lot thinking behind it because we are trying to solve many problems and inconviences in our protocol by thinking outside the box and coming up with innovative solutions.

I wasn't around for the beginning of internet or social media, but I have to imagine this is par for the course. Early adopters are... early adopters. Some of us just want to hang out, before everything blows up and gets crazy.
Yesterday someone on Telegram said that he was on Bluesky, and they called him a Nazi for loving Nostr.

Nostr - by design breaks chambers .. i wouldnt blame the author cuz liberation might feel a bit shallow to those "chopped-wingers" ..who never flew in fresh air .. let alone the rain or lightning :-)
