currently @Stemstr is the only micro app producing 1808s, but as sam said the media can be hosted anywhere - the notes simply provide a url to the media.

I don’t understand, what does 1808 actually mean then? Just that it lets you play it right in the app?
It's not standard, I assume @Stemstr will create a NIP at some point
It's a different format, so it's presented differently, including a player in the note

Right, nostr events come in different kinds, text notes are kind 1, long form is 30023, etc
So I take it this non standard music won't play for followers on minds and the fediverse?
nothing is truly standard on #nostr now is it? just a factor of adoption
a little write up in a note would be good
at a guess i would say its another #centralization abstraction, while lack of #decentralized media is sitting as a huge potential problem
i have enjoyed your #podcast btw, i am just listening to #joerogan number 1970 with @ottman@minds.com and its very good but some crucial opportunities are missed about nostr like you cant be deplatformed when that is discussed, and joe is a little awash in the technical jargon used
it would be good to get you on a podcast like #timpool as you explain nostr in a very clear polite humble way (christian)
