Great product idea. Also, the fact that people on nostr think this is a great idea is part of the reason why there's less engagement on nostr. Just saying.

I think posts on nostr get fewer interactions in general because way fewer of us just scroll the feed. We all like actually do shit in the real world and don’t live on our phones over here. I think nostr is more like the way social media is supposed to feel.

Big fan here, wife and I have been using one for a couple of months now. Super helpful to prevent waking up and staring at my phone immediately, but still let's me use my phone as an alarm clock.
It’s like ozempic for weight loss. Best way is to do it yourself without needing more stuff.
they really nailed the ux of the physical on/off which i have found helpful in using my phone more deliberately but yea you can “get around it” by restarting your phone

How useful would this thing be for grapheneos? I worry switching between profiles would disable it

They do claim all your info stays local on your device. I just don't like some of these words arranged in this way. image
Ordered 1 for my wife and 1 for myself, known about it for a while but now I want to try it. What do you like most about it @ODELL and how do you use it? Purely at home or also at work locations? Any specific hours or days? Curious to learn how others are using it as well! 🙏 PS: Happy new year! 🎆
My solution to this kind of problem is just to have separate devices. just have an old phone that you have you're trad social media apps and whatever on. so then to use it you have to go get the thing and turn it on. but I can see how having an enforced timer might be appealing for people.
we have one on the fridge (it has a magnet base) that my wife uses as well and one in my office
