This Cold Card incident is very similar to what happened in the youtube gun space. A youtuber has accidentally discharged his firearm into his dick and ball. He now has one ball and is on youtube covering it. He carried his gun appendix, aimed at his dick for ~15 years without incident. And now he fired his dick on the draw. Gun was a glock btw. This yt video has many in the gun space reconsidering their carry position even though they had no problem carrying it appendix prior to this incident. It especially sucks as he considered himself an “expert” and if an expert of 15 years can make that mistake, whos to say a normie like me wouldn’t. I really hope this doesn’t stifle confidence in self custody and those that are affected see some resolution. Absolutely fucking shitty fucking shitty bro. However perhaps this is a good time for us in the community not to react from fear but put into perspective how important it is to be careful in our security. Never to be complacent. And to stay watchful. Especially where it matters.
